TPLEX offers shorter travel time from Baguio to Manila

A short travel from North to South of Luzon.

A couple of days have passed when we travelled to Calamba Laguna. My mom has to be in a meeting and my husband and I gladly drove her there. The trip to Laguna was a wonderful experience for me. It was my first time to drive via TPLEX.

TPLEX means Tarlac–Pangasinan–La Union Expressway. This route allowed us 3-hour travel time from Baguio to Manila. Normally, it takes 5 to 6 hours by bus and 4 to 5 hours by car. As an ordinary citizen of Baguio, I think that this project of the government is serving its purpose and objective as originally stated by DPWH in their website.

TPLEX PROJECT IMPACT/OBJECTIVE:

  • Reduce travel time from Tarlac City to Gerona from 45 minutes to 10 min., 8,000 vehicles per day will be benefited
  • Reduce travel time from Tarlac City to Paniqui, Tarlac from 1 hour to 15 minutes, 10,000 vehicles per day will be benefited
  • Reduce travel time from Tarlac to Rosales from 2 hours to 30 min., 13,000 vehicles per day will be benefited
  • Reduce travel time from Tarlac to Rosario from 3.5 hours to 1 hour, 20,000 vehicles per day will be benefited.
